World Water Problem
SUMMARY »
Access to clean water will soon be at the forefront of global economic, political and social discussions. Despite being a basic necessity to life and a recognized human right, a huge percentage of the world's population is without access to clean drinking water. Meanwhile, debates have already begun in the developed world on the sale of this essential resource.
The ensuing typographic installation in two public washrooms in Vancouver was created in response to these issues. By presenting the issue in an environment where water consump-
tion is most prevalent, the project brought the viewer face-to-face with the problem and personalized an otherwise daunting issue.
